Measuring the unmeasurable is, I think, at best
unpredictable and at worst dangerous.
Measuring people makes them change their behaviour, so
it is really important that you
i/ get your measurements right
i// think very carefully about exactly how, and
against what, you will measure them.
It seems to me that with the best will in the world,
the player rating system is trying to measure the
unmeasurable. Clint & co have come up with something
pretty imaginative and broad and interesting, but I
still dont like it because I wouldnt like to see
people's behaviour change.
I might not make Darrel's points in quite the same way
as he has done, but I agree pretty wholeheartedly with
him
