MEPBM code changes and more anti-usa low-blows

I think Chicken Run had the best take on this issue.

"Yanks, late to every war!"

Some neutrals like to know which side is going to win before they pick
sides.

p.s as for the next message about GSI/Deft rejecting Clint's offer for the
source code. Nothing personal, but I would do the same if I was them.
GSI/Deft risks missing out on profits if they give the source code out to
other people. These people are also running a business to make money, so
protecting their income stream is vital.

Well, certainly if Harlequin develops a better MEPBM, they might very
well take business away from GSI. I can understand that. What I cannot
understand is, "why we can't all just get along."

By that I mean, this is not a big market. I know Harlequin runs on a
shoestring, and I can't believe GSI is doing all that much better. If
Harlequin could make a better MEPBM, and promise to license that back to
GSI, we all win, players and companies.

In short, I think GSI is being quite myopic here.

Mmmm... I wonder what McDonalds would be like if we let the Welsh Boyos
run that, and franchised it back to the Yanks...

Yes I agree it is a safety measure on their part. However, we do have some
companies that give us the source code - we have never abused it nor do we
intend to. It's a shame though.

Unfortuantely we have an ethical problem with the concept of running
McDonalds - and it wouldn't fit in the office either....
