So, I was having a discussion with one of my fellow PBMers,
and we were
going on about one of our favorite subjects: changing ways MEPBM runs.
New special service turns, different encounters, etc. Of course, these
things require the original source to the MEPBM generator, and someone
to actually work on it.My question is, if you had someone to work on the code, what are the
changes Harlequin could get the rights to change it?
I'm thinking none. GSI/Deft are trying to make money out of middle earth. If
I was them, I wouldn't release the source code to anyone - too much of a
risk of people using the code to make their own game and bypast them. Of
course they could be a rare american company which isn't interested in
profit, but what is the chance of that ?
Second, could we get together a group of players to help Harlequin
modify the code? Does this even make sense?
Its always good to dream, but I don't think Clint can get his hands on the
source code.

P.S I remember an aussie company (dynamic games) once got the source code
for keys of medokh from an overseas company (nice game, pity the end-game
code wasn't working when I started playing it). But I think aussies have a
different personality to the brits/british/whatever you lot on those little
islands call themselves. So we were able to get what we wanted. We have been
grovelling to the USA while you lot were still looking at Europe, so we had
a head-start on you :).
P.P.S the last
was to calling england a little island, not on the aussie
government way of grovelling to the USA. That gets a
