Merging armies with food/no food Question

Anyone knows if the army after the merge will be considered feed
(movement vice). The merge will be done with a 780 TrComm.

1st Army: has about 1000 troops, and about 20K of food
2nd Army: has about 2000 troops and no food at all.

They are not in a pop centre, but will the whole army be considered fed,
so that they can move full movement?

Thanks in advance

RD: I don't see any problem. 780 goes before any move order, so whichever
way you do it, the combined army should move as fed.

So long as you transfer command from the 2nd army to the first army, you will be fed. Won't work the other way round

Note that this can be the basis of a way to really make your food stretch. Just take one army of 100 troops with 101 food & you can transfer in as many troops as you want and still have full movement. There are even some esoteric tactics involving three armies & various troop transfers which allow you to do this for several turns. Never seen this happen in practice, though.
