Middle Earth and bobbin's site.

The best first.

To get out clean just jump about on loads of pages and it will be impossible to know what you really wanted to know.

Compared to later-tech everything is low-tech.

Please give me the URL (maybe I can find it by reading old posts..)

Then, I'm just anybody but here are some words that will make some weep and some laugh,

Depending on your ISP, source can be identified at the time of connection. Say the ISP give a new ID every time anybody log on, and the ISP keep that info in case a Court of Law say that they want to know where anybody went and what anybody up/down-loaded. As long as you are online your ID can be matched to other info about you (email). And, if you run your own server your online all the time... but then you can run a blocking device, that can be cracked..and so on..
An running application (on server) will log loads of info about who comes to look (cookies) but to track to true ID would - most likely - require a personal effort from the interested party.

But, much more interesting is that fact that the page-report will list pages and servers. Then you match with email. INTEL will give you info that can be give grades of probability.

HI All,

The information you get from counters about visitors does include their
server (so if I visit a site you will know that someone using a pipex.dial
account visited) - but that's hardly enough to destroy your opponent in a
game of ME.

Is there a hacker out there who knows different? Should we all be accessing
Bobbins site from a friend's PC routed through Singapore?

Bobbins:

www.middleearthpbm.co.uk

Its very good.

Not to be confused with our www.middleearth.co.uk

Question.

If I were to look at bobbin's 1650 site, would he be able to see what I
looked at ? Since sites have countered, they recognise someone accessing

the

site, but I'm not sure if it could record WHO accessed the site.

Not that I'm looking at any specific encounter or dragon, but I'm just
thinking aloud.

Honest
m

p.s Bobbin's wouldn't have one site for his known enemies (with false

dragon

info), and another site for everyone else ? Now wouldn't that be a laugh

I would also include a (very small) message saying that the information
being supplied could be incorrect, and use at your own risk.

I'm glad the free in G34 don't think as evil as the DS of that game.
