Middle Earth Automagic

Clarification about the Autoinputting system:

MEOW is written for IBM compatible computers, it does not require Excel but
we don't know if it will work on other machines. Sorry I didn't reply
quickly about this. I will ask the programmer for some details on what
he thinks can run it.

Ideally we would code a program which ran on PCs, MACs, Linux, Acorn Risk,
Amigas, Ataris and the new Spectrum emulating phone thingy on the adverts,
but we're simple not able to do that and keep development costs down. We
have to draw a line somewhere.

We were very lucky that Mike Mulka kindly agreed to help out with
Automagic, which we know runs on a MAC, so we have covered 98% of our
market. (This stat is taken from our website's log, which is able to tell
us what OS the browsers are using. It could be wrong to assume that
browsers and players are exactly the same, but it gives us an idea of what
OS our market likes to use).

Its good to hear that Linux can cope with most of AM, we had been told that
Linux couldn't cope with Excel at all. Perhaps a Linux/Excel expert can
show us how to cope with the Macro problem.
