Middle Earth diplos

Anyone want to write an article for Bree on how to woo a Neutral? Or what
wooed you as a Neutral? Example diplo maybe?

Clint

Clint:

I am a little confused about the format of a diplo. Do we send it to you, and if so, what do we need in the subject line/body of it to get it through to the neutrals?

Thanks,

Mark

Hya Mark

You can send diplos to us to forward to players in the same game. As with
all emails to us they need to be clear what they are for. So if you can put
something like:

ME g309 Diplo for Dunlendings from Northmen

(for example) in the subject line.

Underneath that if you DO NOT want your contact details to be sent on then
tell us there. Otherwise we will forward the entire email to the player
concerned which will have your contact details on it.

Then put the message, and if you want your contact details just in case.

Does that help?

i've deleted all the messages but the original, so

If you need articles on how to woo a neutral, don't bother asking
anyone in game 60!!!
                                Corsairs(still not wooed)

Seemed to have opened a can or worms here...

Indeed you have.

Your mistake, if I may be so bold, was to ask a very loaded question:
"How to woo a neutral?" as a proposed article title. It assumes that
wooing a neutral is normal and desirable. Unfortunately, apart from we
two Clint, there seems to be nothing but anarchists and psychopaths out
there. "There's nowt as queer as folk, 'cept thee and me... and thou's
a bit peculiar."

So you need to adopt a larger brief when you begin your article:
How to deal with neutrals. You could have sub titles:
How to really upset a neutral.
How to really upset your team.
What neutrals are for - gold, spare MTs, avoiding the real enemy.
How to attack a neutral effectively.
How to attack a neutral without provoking the others.
How to attack a neutral AND provoke the others.
Why you never need to bother with diplos.
Divergent thinking - why you just might decide NOT to attack neutrals.

Yes, thanks for the two lovely posts Laurence. Keep posting!

And you're doing a good job at strengthening your image Bruce. You
play in enough games to get famous really fast!

Bruce is actually in charge of diplomatic relations for his team in a
game where play a neutral, so he's more than qualified. I'm sure it
will be an interesting article!
