I don't need a dictionary to know that asking for feedback is NOT asking for negativity and rude comments. I hope some day you take the time to create and maintain something, and someone tells you it "sucks." We will see how you and your dictionary feel then.
"Feedback" is defined as a "response", the dictionary doesn't mention
whether its rude, crass, clever or even correct. Just a response.
"sucks" is a colloquial expression - but I believe it only means that a
thing is poor, inadequate or disappointing.
ditto with "pants".
