Your examples seem about right. Most newer players ask for 5 to 10 turns
of neutrality. In moe recent games, such as 313, "hermit" status is also
used as a blind--knowing and committing to one side from the zero turn!
Makes for a lot of troops.
Neutrals who go Dark Servant have a better chance to finish very high in
VP.
The other question--what is a normal 1650 game
1. The Gondors storm the gap--the DS rally there
2. The DS campaign hard to kil the WM and Eothraim (take the eoplex)
3. Agents try to gut the gondors and northmen.
4. The combined armies of Free hit LR stuff and trap navy.
5. The 'thraim and/or NG go around end to take out 3822 as Sinda, Dwarf
and WM(?) take Dul Guldor!
6. somehwere in here rhudaur/dun fight or join--WK lives or dies--or
Cardolan/arthedain have a problem.
7. Character warfare really starts--the NOLDO truly get into the war.
Depending on the early character warfare--the 6 remaining DS in turn 19 or
so, try to take out the 7 or so Free usually--unless the neutrals have
joined--it is now that they are noticed. Early demise only counts when the
economies need it!! or diplomacy goes nowhere.
In my last three games, neutrals have backstabbed more often than
declared nations or joined with hidden agendae.
Sometimes, they even live after doing either!!!

Anyone got any details on when neutrals declare/get
