Movement question

If there are two opposing armies, say a DS army at 3022 and an FP army
at 3026, and they are both moving along the road, is there any way the
DS army could reach 3025 before the FP army has a chance to leave it?

I guess I should add that the two armies are moving toward each other.

A cav army moving south will be in 3023 (forest) at the same time that
an infantry army moving north will be in 3025. It takes 1 MP
for the cav to reach 3024 and 2 to reach 3025, while it takes 2
for the southern infantry to reach 3024. It is possible to meet in
3024 or 3025, but 3024 is more likely.

An infantry army moving north with no food would take 3 MP to reach
3025 while an infantry army with food moving south would take 5 MP to
reach 3024. It is unlikely (but possible) for the two to meet in
3025.

For the same type of armies and same food status, the only way they
will meet in 3025 is if the southern army uses "home" commands to wait
for the northern one or ends its movement there.

Note that because 3023 and 3022 are both forest (higher MP cost), it
is more likely for equally supplied armies to meet in 3023 than 3025.

cheers,

Marc (hoping I remembered my map correctly!)
