Mt Doom - What's the Weather Like ?

I'm just wondering what is the weather like at Mt. Doom
through out the game ? It should be hot even in Winter,
shouldn't it ?

  RD: Yes. In ICE's Middle-earth campaign guide sourcebook, the mean annual temperature is given as 90 degrees Farenheit, and the precipitation as less 10" (25.4 cm) per annum. GSI used a lot of ICE's material in designing the pbm game. I mean, why go to the trouble of researching every detail again, when ICE has already done it?
