My rant on ratings and rankings

Err, Corsair 101, Insurance Companies rate drivers every six months in The States. Maybe you should quit while you are (slightly) ahead?

And it only takes a few Grandmas and Racers to really frustrate the hell out
of the other 90% of the people that are just trying to use the highway to
get where they are going by traveling at or near the speed limit.

I'd hate it if the Department of Transprotation started making and
publishing a list of "best drivers" based upon how fast they got from place
to place or how many miles they drove in a year.

I'd hate that about as much as I expect to hate a ranking system that ranks
lots of short victories over inferior opponents higher than over a player
that playes fewer, but longer games against equally matched opponents.
