Nations for Newbies

.

The SG are very relevant for the attack on Mordor. If you have a
list.suggestions that would be good.

As I've said, it's swings and roundabouts. We could have an endless
debate about which nations are suitable for Newbies. At the end of the
day, the best place for them, from a team point of view is... out of it,
in another game.

Possible answers may lie not in the allocation of specific nations but
in:
1) Newbie games. Teams of Newbies, with one or two heroic experience
mentors on each side.
2) Team games, where the teams agree to take on one or two newbies each.
I've often been in situations where there's been 7 or 8 folk ready to
play as a team, struggling to find more. An agreement to take on the
same number of Newbies as the other team, may be a good idea. This
would give the added advantage that players would play 2 nations if a
newbie dropped - as an alternative to the doubling up which often
happens already in team games from the start.

The team, experienced and new would then negotiate the nations before
gamestart - I've been in some SERIOUS negotiations on this prior to some
team games. It's almost as much fun as the game itself (and we don't
have to send you any money!
