I came upon this riddle:
khazad-dum
hadothrond
black-pit
even moria to their pity
for, you see, it was their dwarven city.
seems as if another name for moria is asked for, but I know none. Any ideas??
Only thing I can think of is Dwarrowdelf.

seems to me they are asking for a group of people. or a nation and not a city name…my two cents
