New funding

You might recall that I informed you that we were about to change the way
that turns are funded. The software has now been written for that so for
those based in North America we'll be using US$ for those in NZ/Australia
AUS$ and for anywhere else in UK Pounds. (For now we want to see how the
Euro works before we work on which country uses Euros and which does not).

Prices:
UK: S/Up �10 (R+M), Rules, Map or S/Up �5. Turn Cost �3.90
US: US$15, US$8, US$5.90
AUS$: AU$30, AU$15, AU$11.70

I am going to start informing everyone at the start of next week but just
thought that I would get the ball rolling here. Then we'll change all funds
to the appropriate settings on the Monday 28th January. All payments made
to us will be converted to the appropriate currency. We're hoping this will
help bring in a more international player base.

On another point the auto-input and MEOW (Middle Earth Order Writer) are now
in the playtest stage - we'll keep you informed. We're hoping this will
mean big benefits for all.

At today's rate of �0.69 = US$1, �3.90 = US$5.62. The suggested
US$5.90/turn is an approximate 5% markup. Any specific reasoning for the
slight increase for US$ payers? Given the following...

US$100 = 16.95 turns at US$5.90/turn.
US$100 = 17.78 turns at �3.90/turn converted.

...is there any way we can still pay in UK Pounds in the old manner? It's
almost a full turn's fee lost for every $100 deposited. Or alternatively,
could you give a free turn for every $100 one puts on one's account?
Quibbling somewhat, I suppose, but hey, five bucks is five bucks...

I concur... as another U.S. player, I would like to have the option
of paying in UK pounds! I watch the exchange rate to help get an
extra turn or two. When the exchange rate is in my favor, I load up
my account. When the exchange rate is poor, I ride it out.

I can't imagine how it would matter to Clint and company - they get
paid by the turn.

So how about it guys???
