Okay, besides my own petty victory, I see we’ve taken the FK capital, are in Mordor with multiple armies and multiple more are about to be “in” Mordor while many others are about to enter the doors and be “in” the following turn.
Heard about Llachglin too. Shame that. Nice toy, better trade for us there, yes?
So, what’s the situation gentlemen? It’s about how you spend your entertainment $, no?
I hope the dark servants realize this game is over and do the honorable thing.
Brad,
You like individual games. This is why I don’t like them. The outcome is already determined, but the other side can probably hold on for another ten to fifteen turns if they want to.
Tim, I swing back and forth. Problem is I play more games than I should and if I’m loaded up with too many 2-nation grudges, you start to see more stress on both your time and your allies emotions. Keep it mixed up, plus, one never knows when one can meet new friends and/or grudge mates. Grudge, Gunboat, 1 week, 2 week, all about variety and balance…
Well guys from my own perspective we where trying to make a game of it. Rather then just quit the second some criterea took place. We were going to see if massive curse squads and locating the one ring would work. Well you got in too soon. I also see you are now kidnapping key mages. Well this old cowboy has had enough. You gents played an awesome game out congrates to you all. Good gaming and I hope to see you in the next one as either friend or foe:D
Dark Servants realized this game was over on turn 5, when Corsairs declared for free and they stated so but decided that they would play till ya took each of us out to give ya a game – So they are doing the Honorable thing !!
Nobody said “each of us”. People have said “we’re not going to quit just yet” and we have been assured on this forum that we won’t end up in a bug hunt. So, the “honourable” thing is to follow the momentum. If we’re looking at a one-off retirement, fine, off we go to cause death and destruction. If we’re looking at multiple DS leaving, it’s time for the others to end it.
I’ve been tied up in the real world (work) and just logged onto email, etc. after having been away for several days. And I see that lo, many are surrendering.
I sent an email to Brad (Woodmen); I asked him to forward it on to the rest of you. My compliments on your game (and the neutrals!)
I will certainly be sending in orders for this turn, I’ll sit down and look at the situation when I have more time this weekend; I’ll probably yield in another turn or two. I won’t hold on indefinitely (even if I could… I probably couldn’t, but I could make it very difficult). At the moment, I’m still having an entertaining time; my position is fairly strong for the Dragon Lord.
I can’t be bankrupted… economy is too strong. I don’t need natsells, for example. So you’d really have to take my capital, which you’re not in any position to do (even with emissaries) for several turns, and I’m capable of picking up others. Loyalties are pretty high.
You can anticipate a concession from me within five turns on the outside, probably more like two or three.
Well, Bradford, you’re certainly richer this turn than last (see FK below…)… Couple camps missing, only the Gondor’s to this point, but I can pretty much confirm minimum 1 drop from In Game, and have to believe the other 2 vocal players (Doug/Gixxx) so there’s 3 down. Awaiting complete results… But in the meantime, Dark Loo capital goes next. FK better pull some magic out of his hat, he had the market food reset to thank this turn, it won’t help him again…
I have a positive economy and it is growing. I have a low tax rate and even with the loss of one major town and the expected loss of another:
I will still have a positive economy. You aren’t going to knock me out.
In truth I will quit long before you even come close to knocking me out.
I’m waiting for the new one week to start or come close to starting before I end this one. Plus I’m going to play with a few things to see how it will work out in my other game.
-Christopher
(I believe we picked up more pops then we lost this turn and most of the team is disbanded… )
Eventually your vulture game will run through lost allies as we burn your homeland. Wave the flag of victory amongst your vagabond refugee populace all you like, hope it makes you feel important until the nightmare reality you’re avoiding comes crashing in.
Don’t taunt the wounded players, or I’ll demonstrate just how long I can hang on, even as the Dragon Lord. I’m not even trying that hard to pick up population centers, and I’m up three more this turn.
