Terry popped again??? Was wondering why nothing happened at Buhr Fram. Geez, that sucks, frankly. Now what I am going to do with all this gold I keep demanding to finance a war that isn’t…?
Oh Bradford, yes, nice results in Mirkwood for you. Getting the Reveal off on Turn 1 gave us that warm and fuzzy feeling, the feeling you get just before you sigh contentedly and stop paying attention…dammit…
Total bull****. Where was the diplomatic effort by the DS? The “Hey Harad, we want to get your on our side”? You guys did squat until I threatened the QA fleet… that’s just pathetic. Now you’re reaping the rewards.
K / Haradrim
p.s. I played grudge games with both Brad and Gixxx, so that excuse is pretty lame.
All is split milk now. Before all players in this game I would like to suggest we waste no more money and send in our resignation letters and set-ups for new one week. Our QA is a very very rusty vet who hasn’t played in about five years and had no rule book until turn 3. Yes Terry went bust and played his own game and That is why we all love him;) The Easterling although faithful to his idea of his role playing did in fact hurt us. Rhudaur hitting early was also a bad break. Harad hitting the QA is a back breaker. Now the Freep hold the entire NW and will roll right over (Mike) Dunlend. Dragon Lord played well and got lucky a few. But he will be smashed and the North Gate will be thrown open. Why should we waste any more time or effort and most of all MONEY!!! Come on people and get in those start-ups:D
From The Blind bastard who never even got into the game or forces met a foe.
Becareful what you wish for. I saw Terry as the Easterlings and he stomped some major Arse. He is very aggressive and putting him in a large economy nation is a dangerous endeavor. So who is playing what? Hey Corsairs and Easterlings this game could be saved if you declare evil this very turn and help us. If not then do the right thing and tell everyone so we save on a couple turns that would just be a waste. Good job freeps. Your play was solid and I saw no real mistakes. That tells me you must have had good coordination. So I say “Good for You.”
Greetings all,
The corsair fleets had sailed to Niagara Falls this week for some r&r and have just returned from doing a few circles outside of the Niagara whirlpool. I am dismayed by what I see upon my return. I suggest that the DS pay the Easterlings his price so that the split will be 3-2. The fleets of the corsairs will sail under the banner of the free and set sail for hostile waters this turn.
Not me – am sitting these one week games out – rather join a totally new two week game or grudge game as is total waste of my money and time one lasting 12 turns and this one lasting 5 – guess next one will be done by turn 2 !!
As am I. I am staying out of the one week games. When I started this game, I really did not care what way I was going to declare at all but the DS did not contact me much. The free had 3 to 4X the contact with me. Can you expect me to join a side that says they will drop if I don’t declare their way? I went away on vacation for 4 days and had little email contact with anyone. When I returned, I found out that the WK bankrupted himself (2nd time in 2 games) on the DS side and they had little hope of winning. That is not the story I had been hearing from the free. They said the DS were doing ok and the dragon lord was being especially a pain in Mirkwood. If you want to recruit the neutrals, SEND THEM MESSAGES. I can only see Brad sending me a message every turn. Actually, both Brads sent me a message every turn, just the free sent 3 times as many messages. I said to all that I would be making my intentions known after turn 5. This was actually a turn earlier than I originally intended.
Hope you enjoyed your vacation , LOL , the only one who contacted me on the evils side also was Bradford, and I also got about three times as many e-mails from the freeps and is your right to go whatever way you wanted !! But so far i dont find these one weeks as appealing as say a grudge game , thus I am off to try a gunboat – thats looks interesting , so gunboat here I come !!
Gentlemen, you shall be missed here and we’ll be allies again over there. I’m through with the marketing, I guess it’ll take some time for the next one to start.
Well, to be fair it was 3 or 4 turns of 1650 - WK was being agressive, as was Dragon Lord. WK had an army that was going to cause us problems in the backfield now that the Duns attacked, and while everyone knows Khamul isn’t long for Mirkwood, 2 pops off the Sinda with Sarn G revealed early was good for him. Ithil was a trench, a couple kills and a dragon and we’d have spent our forces at 3224 to no avail, etc. Little did we know the real state of the DS until now. And we only got the Southrons finalized last week.
Disappointment is what it is, disappointment all around.
Here! Here! But seriously, it’s not a first person shooter, ya gotta get along with your Allies and hey, the more of those you have the better your chance of success. This isn’t rocket science or tying shoes or perpetual motion machines made from recycled materials you know.
Well I must admit I have been very quiet for my usual standards. Unfortunately I have been doing a Cert 4 Management course and have had barely enough time to get my orders in let alone contact my own team mates let alone the neutrals. It is always unfortunate when neutral declaration can kill off a game but as the Pirate states, we wern’t forthcomming with contact so he has sided with the communicators. His choice, as is his right but it makes for a very unbalanced game… unfortunately.
Folks, the Harad summed it up quite nicely. The game is well known, published and discussed ad nauseum. If you’re in a game with Neutrals, it works a certain way. If you do not do what is required, it’s either 1) because you’re busy or 2) because you don’t know how it works. Regardless of whether you’re busy or ignorant, you can’t blame the neutrals. Hoping other people do what you want them to doesn’t produce results, and it’s not their fault.
