I've created two polls further to my question about a new list. The first is to ask if you want a new list - those who don't like off topic material on the mepbmlist, might wish to vote "yes" to this, even though they would not wish to subscribe to it.
The second is to find out how many people would actually want to subscribe. If I consider than there's sufficient interest, I'll set one up.

So, if I choose to protect my identity, I'd no longer be able to say anything on topic in this list? Come on!
Please just leave the anonymous part out and I'd be happy with it!

That's not what I'd mean to imply at all. I'm quite happy with people who choose to post anonymously here, and respect their right to do so. Clint however, and others, clearly don't feel the same. In an independent list, you could be who you want, and say what you want, without being in conflict with the list "ownership" - it might be a more comfortable environment.
Personally though, I would not want to see those who consider it impoertant to post anonymously here, cease to do so.
So yes, it would be an improvement to drop the word "anonymously" in the description of a new list.

This project is nothing to do with me. Something I have found running the games in the international market and from other aspects of my life is that people throughout the world have different opinions on what is appropriate behaviour and what is not. Just try to be aware and allow for that when you deal with other cultures.

Thanks Laurence,
I DO understand it is annoying to SOME people to not know who exactly said something. I just value not being stalked for a disagreement I may have had online with someone. I in no way wish to imply that simply shouting the loudest makes someone right. I just see this list as a "semi-official" list for a game people pay good money for, and as such it should respect even those points of view that differ from a more vocal group as long as those points of view are presented with a little bit of respect. Maybe I'm wrong on this.... (shrug)

Actually, I'm well aware of this fact. When I was in the USAF, I was actually in 26 countries in a two year time span. I'm done travelling...

I understand your point of view here. But I find that there players being people can do some awful things. (I count myself in that group). So shouting, insulting, threatening others in the game are all out of context with the actual game itself. So the decision is that if you want me to take note of your particular point sign it. Then we can have a debate about the pros and cons. I won't hunt you down... :-). In 10 years or so of running games I have had the occasional threat to home, person or people I know, and lots of half-threats and voices raised in anger. If you know who you are chatting/writing to I find that it is a lot harder to be out of order, even when angry.
