Okay we have a new message board to replace the DGE Message boad.

will take you there.
You will need to create an account to be able to post messages and log in.
WE KNOW that it is ugly at the moment, typographic errors etc. It will get
better soon as we can iron out the rough edges. We'll be asking for
feedback as soon as we have got it reasonable. We have gotten it to the
point where it can be used and it will improve enormously in the coming
weeks.

Excellent start but a few glitches:
1) After you Log On (or try to), the heading 'please log in with a proper user name and password' keeps cropping up, despite the fact that access to messages seems to be unimparied; i.e., it's rather difficult to tell if one is actually logged on or not.
2) It says you can create an account at any time but offers no advice on how to do that. Please bear in mind we 'Merkins are very literal and simple-minded critters; if it's necessary to Create Account we'll be looking for a large Thing that says 'click here to Create Account' not a tiny 'Edit Profile' in 8-point type squozen in at the top margin of the page away from anything even remotely useful-looking.
3) The 'Edit Profile' (which may or may not be the same thing as 'Create Account') page is a bit wonky:
a) There are 7 headings for things to be typed in (not counting the big 'Notes' box) and only 6 places to put them.
b) There's a little tick box near the funny faces with no apparent function; I guess it's the 'do you want a funny face on your messages' box but nowhere is that said.
c) Every time I've tried to Edit Profile and click the 'Save Account' button the screen goes a sick greenish color and a small box comes up with the message 'An error has occured' - with no indication of what the error is or how to fix it, and no way to get back to the previous page.
Minor things in a way (especially as one can indeed get to the messages) but still a bit off-putting.
