New Middle Earth Games Team Member

Hi All,

For those of you that don't know me my name is Dean Johnson.

I am a moderately experienced Middle Earth player. I will be gaining more experience, particularly of the new ME Kin-strife module.

I have known Clint and Rob for decades and have agreed with them to join the ME Games team. I will provide back up to Rob when needed but he is your GM! My role is more to take on the longer term strategic issues, manage development, modules, help set-up new games, events, promotions, marketing, be available for contact with the players etc...

I hope that me joining the team improves what is already on offer and ultimately expands it!

All the Best,
Dean

Hi
Any change to the cost of the game in the foreseeable future ?

Hi Whit,

Very early for me to jump in and make changes like that.

However, as a person who is New to behind the scenes in the Middle office I see massive investment going on.

Re-coding of the game into PC/Database format which will ultimately lead to more power in game variation/flexability.

Creation of the new Kin-strife module.

And Me!

This all points to a healthy evolving game which I think will get better and better in the future.

Developing the Game Code is often an invisible cost to the player but vital to the future of the game.

Welcome Dean,

I hope you appreciate that the overall impression of many of us out here is one of abandonment, actually - certainly not "massive investment". Conversation has stopped on this list and is trickling down to nothing on the forum. Players sometimes mail me about my posts saying "I couldn't get a login on the forum and asked the company about it but got no response"...before happily berating my existence and promising untold atrocities against my household..

Talk of the new code has been going on for a number of years. I believe my original Kin Strife files were from 2006. Games seem to take a lot longer to fill - is that too many of those varieties or too few active players?

The addicts among us are eager for a "healthy evolving game" - we hope your perspective is a more accurate reflection of the situation than ours is.

Cheers,

Brad Brunet

Hi Brad, you will find these forums and lists far more responsive as I am here now and THIS is one of MY jobs!I will be doing my best to check things daily. When settled I will start marketing and promoting!

I have several ideas but do PM me any good ones that you have! I can then use them and look amazing to my bosses!

Think of me appearing as commitment! I am a games lover and am really going to enjoy making Middle Earth flourish!
