But what is the "Mentor Program"...I've been under the impression that you try to match players with "mentors" in games. I'm not in or joining any games in the near future where I would fit in here, but I'd be more than willing to answer emails...

That's what I've asked for.

Willing being the key, I'm not sure what this whole "mentor" thing is
(BOFA only? other methods?) but I'd put myself down on a sheet of people
willing to answer emails from newbies.

In Legends, they are players able to talk to and assist players in the game outside the normal game. I'd give out your contact details and times available and see how that would work. How does that sound?
