Having played quite a few years of regular ME, it appeared to me that the FP
benefitted from a superbly run NK who helped maximize the combined resources
of the FP coalition, ie, suggesting combined areas of attack, etc that helped
the less experienced players focus their actions in concert with the rest of
us.
He also developed an economic powerhouse that funded the more stressed
frontline nations.
Some of our more important nations (eg, the Noldo) where played by
inexperienced players and mistakes were made along the way. We also had a
significant disruption in the team early in the game due to the strong
personalities involved and had to replace one player. But all of these
factors were ameliorated by us coming together under the leadership of the
NK. Hat's off to Mark.

RD: Yup, agree with all of that, except the guy's name was Marc with a C!
