Neutrals for FA (they can swing both way). I found playing free was easier
than DS in 2950 (but having said that, I easily won as the DS in my last
2950 game. And Stags has played a grudge 2950 game in the USA where the DS
also easily won). I can't comment on 1650.
but I like to ask the question
'do you prefer games with pre-set neutrals or not'
Always pre-set. While they game loses something in the flow (as neutrals
swinging to different sides can produce a different feel for the game). I
like to know on T1 how the game is 'expected' to behave. No more "I can't
move on the enemy since this neutral near me hasn't declared, and I can't
attack him since he is making noises that he wants to join us. If I do
attack him, and the DS move in to help him, then I've dead". Most annoying.

Which is the best side to be on in ME- PBM?
My answer is going to be different for each scenario. 1650 I used to
prefer the DS, but now think that changes in agent / guarding actions
make the FP a much better bet. In 2950 I like the DS, whilst in
Fourth
Age I'd be a neutral every time.Colin.
