Enter your vote today! Check out the new poll for the mepbmlist
group:
Which message board do you prefer?
o Facade's
o DGE's
o Harlequin's
o Other
This is a survey rather than a vote really isn't it? The first thing
that a survey needs to have in order to have any validity, is well
worded questions. The above leaves me baffled.
What is Harlequin's message board, I didn't know there was one? Or are
we comparing the Deft Message board to the MEPBM list here? And who or
what is Facade? - How on earth can we compare between the three, if we
don't know what they are?

facade is me and I am facade. I have a website dedicated to the Me-
PBM game. It seemed that in the change over we were to be without a
message board so I added some to my site. Hence the poll.

Thanks. I had visited you before, but only knew you as "Middle Earth
Manuscripts".
Still no answer to my first question though. What is the "Harlequin
Message Board"? I suspect that we may in fact be being asked to compare
mail lists to message boards. In which case it might be better to talk
first about which METHOD is preferable (Boards, Mail lists, news groups)
before discussing whose particular version is better.
Am I alone in knowing what Usenet Newsgroups are? It strikes me that
they could be the best answer, and "please all men". You can have them
downloaded via your mail program; you can download just the subject
lines then choose to download in full only ones that interest you; you
can read and respond to them online; and they are archived via sites
like DejaNews, for those that like their reading material big 'n chunky.
So much for "Human Nature".
I saw the Poll.
I have posted on the Deft Board many times. I like it.
In an effort to be open minded, I looked at the Facade Board.
I don't know Facade, never communicated with him, but I voted for his
Board.
I personally believe it is an excellent option.
Please check it out if you have not already.
Obviously, Facade is not one to sit around looking for things to gripe
about, rather, one who seeks to immediately provide solutions.
We are lucky to have him and others like him in our group.
Thanks, Mike Rottler

** Sorry I thought that was obvious - this is. It's called a list though
(am I correct?) The specific terminology seemed irrlevant.

Possibly. Having to change to something else might be a pain for everyone
so please see earlier emails.

*** Not a big fan of these - used to use them for my CCG competitive playing
days but found that I was too bothered after a while - often I just forgot.
I think the players who use this (and note there is only a small proportion
of players who actual use this) like the download when log on for email
format. Using the Web for the DGE and Usenet format is something that not
so computer-active people would not use so much. (Just some thoughts).
