New prices ????

Price Changes effective 1st June.

All Games: £3.90 per turn (email/postal/international/1650/2950/1000).
Special Service turn reduced to £1.00. Phone-ins £2.00 Faxing turns £2.00
extra, reprints (negotiable) £2.00.

Why does my account show £4.20 being taken out. I was expecting it to be
£3.90.

Maybe clint has joined the government, and hit me with a 30 pence tax ? I
wanted to use the 30 pence to buy more bananas.

thanks
m

P.S. 3.90, or 4.20. It still feels like AUS $150 to me.

All Credit levels reduced to £0.00. Low funds turns as below. Sorry for
the shock of this, the first price increase/decrease in SIX years. UK
credit card payments still at +5%.

Thanks

Clint

PS looks like it works (hasn't killed the program ..... YET).

Have you been hit by the Harlequin 5% credit card tax? I've gone back
to doing mine by cheque now. I thought this was waived for overseas
players (though actually it wouldn't be a bad thing to tax you for being
a colonial

Perhaps its an extra charge for 4th age, or tweaked scenario. I shall
watch for your answer with interest.

RD: if you want to talk about taxes, our bloody government takes more in tax
on beer and petrol than the product costs. And don't let your government
privatise the railways!

Try living in France, mateys... Then UK and Aussy taxes won't seem so high
after all. The total tax bill in the UK is about 30% of GDP. In France it's
49%. The French are specialists in "stealth taxes". For example, they
recently transferred two percentage points from one Social Security account
to another, saying that there was therefore no nett change in the overall
SecSoc tax rate. They were right. What they didn't mention was that the
account they transferred *from* was tax-deductable, whereas the second
account wasn't. Nett result; a stealth increase of 1% in our taxes.

Agree with you about the railways, though. Maybe they should look at
Switzerland to see how to do it.

Nothing to do with MEPBM, but I feel better now.

Gavin

Worked it out - there was an extra toggle to change (only the 5 things to
change to get it correct) so that is now up to date. Anyone who got OVER or
UNDER charged (yeh) is welcome to ask for the extra funds added or deleted
from their account. It will be minimal of maybe 70p at worse (international
paper players - not many of those).

Please ask as I don't really fancy going through a few hundred accounts.

Yep, no-one else has taken up that option at present. But should players
feel that they want to then you are welcome to send in a cheque instead of
the Credit Card option. Minimum payments 5 as per norm (the higher the
payment the less work for us to do btw - helps get the games out quicker
(really!), and keeps our runnning costs down).

And as well know jacuzzi are created by gas release in the bath...
(Well better than talking it methinks).

PS I'll shut up now- it's been a long week...
