There are rumours (rumours mind you!) that there may be a new Middle
Earth scenario in the pipeline. This would make a lot of sense given the
impending film late next year. If GSI aren't busy designing and testing
a new scenario entitled "War of the Ring" or somesuch, then they should
be.
Rumours aside, what would people like to see in a new scenario?
Perhaps an update to 2950 with loads more armies, the DS having masses
of stick-wielding orcs against some well-armed but numerically inferior
Freeps?
Or there's the argument for making it more of a character game, not by
reducing the number and size of armies, but by making characters
actually move in the same way as armies. That way there's a lot more
scope for encounters, whilst it would also enable the DS to plan where
to send the Nazgul to intercept the company of the Ring. (Would the FP
start with the Ring?)
