Not recieving Encounter, but rumours state so?

Hi guys

A strange thing just happened in one of my games. I was a hex, where I
reacted with an encounter. I then moved my char to a new hex, where I
had LAT'ed an artefact (Not carried by anyone).

Now when I get to the hex, I don't receive any new encounter, but when I
looked a one of my team-mates PDF I saw that I stated: "There are rumors
of an encounter involving MY_CHAR at XXXX."

Wtf happened here. Is this a bug in the program? Has this happened to
anyone else?

Does it happened that these kinds of "mistakes" are shown on the rumours
list?

Any help very much appreciated :slight_smile:

Not all the rumors are true, just like rumors in the real world.

Yes, this has happened to me before. Also, clear back in
GSI running USA days, if I Created a Camp too early,
it would not take my response. I always figured there was
a chance of "paving over" the artifact site with the new
population center or something. Maybe it is an occasional
bug...?

It could be a result of someone spreading false rumors, no?
