O-F-F- -T-O-P-I-C PLEASE

ERIC ABONDAI
RICHARD DEVEREUX
LAURENCE G. TILLEY

Would you PLEASE put "OFF TOPIC" or "OFF-TOPIC" in your E-Mail subject lines. (If
you're replying to one without it, please add it.) Legitimate MePBM postings are
getting lost in the deluge of superfluous, Non-MePBM postings.

You have all posted very interesting and relevant MePBM related messages in the past,
and I'd rather not have to set my E-Mail filter to automatically delete anything and
everything from you, but it's my only other option if you don't put OFF TOPIC in your
subject lines.

(I've included your names specifically because you just sent out multiple Non-MePBM
postings to the list.)

(And before anyone else says something, I don't know if any of these people has their
E-Mail filters set to delete "OFF TOPIC" messages, so that's why I didn't include it
in this subject line.)

Thanks,
Mike Mulka

It would be better to put just OT: otherwise we will end up with
ridiculously long message titles such as:

Whatever we want to come up with would be fine, as long as people actually used it.

(But, if you put "OT" as your filter, might some E-Mail filters delete everything with
"OT" within any words?)

Mike
