off-topic - egg throwing

Actually I thing it was that b***** singing and the fact the welsh
deliberately use long names for their towns, (when in fact the names are
actually much shorter)

You know the tactic in WWII, when signposts were removed, where the Welsh
thought if the label their town with such a long word, no body would dare
send orders to attack it!

Now, to round the day off, all we need is the Secret Service to remove the

An interesting and balanced perspective.

Interestingly, the majority of people questioned seem to approve of Mr
Prescott's action, and it seems that the nationality of the would be
chicken may have something to do with it.

He is, says his solicitor "a quiet and private man" who would like the
press intrusion to stop now please... Well you shouldn't start chucking
eggs at politicians then boyo!

It's part of a long and honourable tradition of dealing with the Celtic
fringe in a fair and even handed manner: Welshman throws egg. Welshman
gets knuckle sandwich and 50 journalists on his doorstep. Edward I has
a bit of bother with them burning hay ricks. He slaughters them by the
thousand, removes their government and legal system, covers their land
in impenetrable fortresses and kicks their language and culture almost
into the Atlantic.

I have written to the Prime Minister suggesting that he nuke Cardiff as
an appropriate response to Harlequin's credit card surcharge. The
matter is being considered.
