off-topic LoR soundtrack

I've just bought the soundtrack to "Fellowship of the Ring" and I have to say it is awesome. What better to put on your cd player
as you are poring over your turns?

Just out of curiosity, what music do you listen to while you're playing ME?

If you're into classical, Wagner is good, especially "Ride of the Valkyries." There are loads of compilations of "popular" classics and opera so you can get all the best (or most popular!) on just a few cds.

If you're into folk, try anything by Clannad.

There is very little modern music which suits ME, hardly surprising as Tolkien died before most current pop artists were born. Go to the fringes though, and try anything by Enya or Enigma.

If you're into New Age you probably know about Medwyn Goodall and Terry Oldfield already. I belong to a very good New Age club. I'm not advertising, but if you want to know, ask me and I'll send the details.

So what do YOU listen to when you play ME?

Richard.

Have also got the LOTR soundtrack, and yes its pretty good  I also have
a tape of the music from the BBC Radio version of the book, I sing along to
some of the songs in a way that always makes it rain locally.

And I'm pleased to say that I often listen to the football when planning my
turns, ME helps to reduce the pain!!
