The discussion about American trucks going to the Russians reminded me of a snippet told by a German author in his account of the Eastern Front. Following a typically harsh Russian winter which had halted hostilities, a German panzer division prepared to move with the first thaw, only to find that all their vehicles had been immobilised. Apparently, starving mice had eaten all the rubber hoses!
That in turn reminded me of a story from ancient China, where overnight, mice chewed through all an evil army's bowstrings. This resulted in the troops being demoralised and the much smaller good army winning an easy victory!
How about: "Summon plague of mice" as combat spell?
Richard.
