off topic: mice, men and machines on the eastern front

The accounts I've read re: German problems with mice are always that of them
eating the coating on wires, causing shorts in the electrical systems.

Also, have seen first person accounts of the Germans highly valuing captured
FORD trucks from the Russians as they were easily repairable and more
reliable than their own transport. And given the abysmal state of supply for
the German army most of the time, parts were prob more easily found
scavanging as well.
