Greetings,
I can understand that several solutions which might sound great
and also as good business, still poses problems to Harlequin.
Sadly they have to take into consideration the issue of how
open a system is to abuse.
And there is nothing to say about that because abuse will not
only give them less profit, it will also in the end affect all
honest players.
I'm not implying that abuse is common and I don't know of any.
But sadly I'm convinced that if there is a possibility there are
always those who will take advantage of it.
Anyway...
If automatic sales and/or disbanding of armies was possible,
that sounds like a good thing to me.
Also I think the suggestion of allowing a player on the same
allegiance to run a "dropped" nation for free during a limited
number of turns is a good one.
It seems to me that now some players who do take on that
responsibility get to carry a heavy financial burden for helping
to keep nation(s) alive while awaiting a standby.
