One Nation choices

Hi everybody,

I liked that idea of keeping a history for every player. When signing
up for a new game you get a multiplying factor for the choices you
posted. The mor often you have already played a specific nation the
lower will be your factor. The one with the highest factor gets the
specific nation.
I don't like the idea of making up different prices. Those who don't
care about money will just buy of the "nice" nations.

Hello everyone. New player here, and I'll be getting started in the
latest 1650 game, and don't expect great success, but am jazzed to
get started. Middle Earth has always held a great richness and
flavor and a wargame in that enviornment should be a blast.

It's clear that some nations, from a tactical or sentimental point of
view are more favored than others.

A thought- Once a game fills up to the requisite 25 players would it
be possible to go to a draft format for purposes of choosing
nations? Each player would be assigned a RANDOMLY determined draft
order and would pick nations in turn. It would be a drag to have the
25th choice, but in successive games the law of averages should
balance this out.

I'm not sure how this might complicate the logistics of things behind
the scenes, but it should please players to know what is available
and make their choice from that list once their pick becomes
available. The drafting of nations itself could be great fun.

Just a thought. I look forward to communicating with all of you
concerning dark rumours of the shadow stirring in the East.

I doubt anything that will cause an increased workload on the staff
will be adopted. I am under the impression that "their plate is full"
as it stands now. Just my take though.

Actually, I like the 'draft' idea, though it would probably be 3
separate drafts. (Good, Evil, Neutral) Unfortunately, this would also
add to the logistics of setting up a new game, so it may not be
practicle.

As for the nation choice issue, I ALWAYS get my first choice of nation.
Of course, I only play 4th Age anymore, so it's kind of easy to get
exactly the nation I want since I design it myself.
