Remember that time between being 16 through to 21 when the crowd split between those with wheels and those without?
If you’re not using the latest software to play this game (JOverseer, available on the MEGames website…) you are still riding your BMX to McDonalds to lean on the wall and hang out on a Saturday night. The rest of the crowd has access to cars and cool clubs. They’ve moved on…maybe even gotten real jobs and a real life…
If your $7.90 a turn is satisfying playing in a vaccuum where you don’t know what’s going on elsewhere, that’s fine - that’s your money. Just be aware that for the SAME COST others are playing a completely different game. It’s really the difference between a 12 speed bike and a Mercedes.
I beggingly implore all to take the technological advances that have been provided by volunteers for free and look at the entire map of MEPBM. What opens up as possible is astronomically different than what you can see looking at your own, and maybe the odd other pdf. Palantir is a rotary dial telephone compared to todays technology.
You do realize that combined with the freedom to choose to play at a lower level - because it’s your money - you’re also handicapping the other players in the game who are forced to have to slow down their Camaro’s and BMW’s for the players still riding their 12-speeds.
If I’m offending anyone here, simply by telling it how it is, I do not apologize. Because that’s how it is. Your $7.90, your choice. The key is being able to know who to blame when the cars don’t bother waiting for the bikes anymore.
Seconded. Ignore the newest tools at your peril, as you are putting yourself at a distinct disadvantage in terms of intelligence gathering and planning if you don’t make use of them.
Can’t remember the last time I saw too much planning going on in a MEPBM game anyway Aah planning’s for sissys. I like JOverseer cos it has all my allies info at my fingertips… even though I never look at it… but if I was interested… I could On the other side of the coin, refusing to use it for years drove Brad up the wall. Thinking about those pros and cons, if I had the choice again, I’d sooner annoy Brad

Time moves on, things change. More are getting with “the program”. It ain’t broke, but it’s getting better…and as the guys who posted below you illustrate, players who know what’s going on are leaving the Indie games because they can’t be bothered playing with people who clamp their hands over their ears, close their eyes tight, and chant “La la la la la la lA LA LA LA!” in order to drown out the obvious. More can be done, more is therefore expected. Produce less that what’s expected and while you may very well be producing the same as always…it soon becomes not enough. Nothing new here, just another reminder of how it is.
Oh, it ain’t “dodgy”…it’s a stand alone Java application. Pretty simple stuff. If your laptop isn’t made by Apple, well, what did it come with if not “dodgy”…???
