We're very likely to come over and meet up with some of the players (we hold
regular meets in the UK for example). So which is best Origins or Gencon
(or something else?)
Which would most players be able to make it to? (Our experience of ME
players are that they are a tad reticent and loathe to leave their homes!)
If anyone has any details on either (or a contact address/email/tel) then
that would help a lot.
On a similar vein we are in London Olympia on Sat 21st April this year at
Salute 2001 - we'll be getting everyone to come to this if at all possible.
Demo Game? Anyone interested in playing? If I can get some numbers we
might be able to run a game on the day (US or UK). (Well some turns at
least). Thoughts?

Both conventions are now property of WoTC/Hasbro and occur within a
month of each other. So in my opinion there is little difference
anymore between the two except which one is closer to where you live.

Ohio is closer to the East Coast of the USA, and it is my impression
that it is a larger convention. There is also a decent-sized local
gaming base in Columbus; you might even get some volunteer help from
the locals (eg setting up a game run during the con with some local
ringers to show folks how it is played; GSI did something similar at
Origins in the past.) If Harly is interested I can check with the
local folks here in Columbus and we might be able to get some
volunteers to assist new folks in doing their orders who might want to
do a trial run. I'd be willing.
