Wargamey and Gencon more suited to PBm though. Any thoughts on that?

REPLY: I think you're right. Origins started as a boardgaming wargame
convention. Gencon started as the late TSR's D & D/Fantasy convention.
While both are now available at both, Origins still retains much more of a
"historical gaming" atmosphere and Gencon has the more "fantasy" oriented
atmosphere.
There is a fair amount of overlap between them but the differences do exist.
I think you'd get business at either one but you were interested in the
difference.

Ohio is closer to the East Coast of the USA, and it is my impression
that it is a larger convention. There is also a decent-sized local
gaming base in Columbus; you might even get some volunteer help from
the locals (eg setting up a game run during the con with some local
ringers to show folks how it is played; GSI did something similar at
Origins in the past.) If Harly is interested I can check with the
local folks here in Columbus and we might be able to get some
volunteers to assist new folks in doing their orders who might want to
do a trial run. I'd be willing.cheers,
