Subject: [mepbmlist] Palantir & MeowI just downloaded the latest Meow from Meow Playtesters, but this
observation is to the mepbm list as it's more broadly relevant.Meow is still built around the preference that the user should put his xml
files in a sub folder of the Meow directory. Palantir suggests that the
user puts his xml files in a sub directory of Palantir. You need to rationalise this.
I was wondering if I should make mention of the multiple uses of xmls in this regard, but figured they'd be tired of hearing me whine!
Also note, that Palantir doesn't ask for a specific "File", as MEOW does (or will, for the rest of you...), but for a "Folder". You need to make constant manual adjustments to which xml files are in which folder...
My advice is to simply have a folder for each game. My Game66 folder has all the old xml's for game 66, and also contains the Game66Current folder - which contains this turn's worth of xmls. I direct Palantir to the "Current" folders, and also direct MEOW to the same folder and select the individual file required. When turn is run, before I save my own files I move all those in the "Current" folder to the main folder and then start adding to the "Current" folder with ally's reports.
This kind of individual file management, I suspect, is to be required until that grand fine day when MEOW makes maps, or Palantirs facilitates order creation....how long for THAT Clint?
