Palantir

OK, downloaded over 8meg of patches, programmes and updates yesterday
trying to get Palantir to run. Only thing I managed was to get the
error message to change from "ADO could not find the specified
provider." to a message telling me that the "provider" wasn't working
and may have been incorrectly installed. I thought that running it on
a Windows NT system a little more up to date than my home PC (1 year
old versus about 5) would show up the problem as out dated hardware
(excuse for a new one?). But it wont work on that machine either, 930
MHz Pentium III, 128meg of ram.

HELP!

You could try updating the Jet DB engine from microsoft.

If this does not help, look for a new set of MDAC (Microsoft Data Access
Components). Should be on the Microsoft site too.
