Palantir

If there is ever a future version of Palantir, would it be possible to have a little more information on the pop centres. Specifically last known loyalty if influenced (eg marginal, fair etc) and the production/stores?

And another thing …

A FP team I play with has just had the following situation. A camp was marked on Palantir that belonged to the Woodmen on an earlier turn. For various reasons we then did not have the Woodmen XML files for a couple of turns. However on the most recent turn we DID have the Woodmen XML. However, despite that fact that the Woodmen no longer owned the camp in question, it was still shown as belonging to the Woodmen. This caused serious problems - namely the sending of gold to the enemy. Is there any way Palantir can cross-check in this situation? Surely the camp should have been shown as being of Unknown ownership?

Even new fangled IT can’t prevent all old fashioned screwups.

In this case it was the new fangled It which caused the screw-up.

I’ve also found little inconsistencies like that.

It happens whenever I get a gap in xmls and is quite irritating.

There’s nothing like being told you can use Palantir for everything and then finding you have to look at all the pdfs again to check the data.

Having said that… with a few tweeks it would be really great.

Some other in the next update, can we have

  1. Scrolling ability - um, if this already works, then what am I doing wrong
  2. List all NPCs and unknown characters reported in pdfs eg easier way of tracking dragonsthan looking for little c in a hex.
  3. Somewhere that shows the economic situation, say if you click on the capital.

There’s more, but I’ll remember them as I next use Palantir.

Cheers

Well…all in all I didn’t mind the Gold. Having it sent that way does suck though. I’d rather (honestly) have it been because of a typo and not because of Palantir not showing up properly.

If it makes you feel any better it shows up right on mine hehe
