Palantir

I accidentally pointed Palantir to an incorrect directory, and it loaded incorrect xml’s into my current games data file. Deleting the bogus data isn’t the problem. The problem is that the files I loaded were for turn 10, and my current game is only on turn 5. Deleting the incorrect data does NOT reset the current turn back.

As a result, everytime I make a map change, it effects the turn 10 map, not the turn 5 map.

I’ve tried to open the .dat file in access, but it is asking for a password. Anyone know the password for accessing the .dat with Access?

Is there any other way to fix the incorrect turn number problem?

Thanks,
Darrell

I have always had to delete the palantir files from the directory, setup a new game (again) and re-import all the XML files for the game.

Major pain in the ass.

Why don’t you just have Dr. Given send you his database? Surely his extraordinary analytic ability and attention to detail would mean he has all the ‘notes’ your WotR team would need? (and no smuller, that’s not sarcasm for a change <g>)
