We know what the problem is but are unable to fix it.
Basically the turns print out to postscript file on the Mac.

Then we

transfer those files to PC and they are then
distilled. Unfortunately the
ASCIII for the Mac and the PC are somewhat different (despite
the same
fonts) and hence it defaults to Courier and loses some of the
text. If you
look on the Turnsheet bit the accents are there correctly.

I see exactly what you're saying and now understand the
problem better! However, if you really had the same fonts on
both platforms, then there wouldn't be a problem, and it would
not default to Courier. Defaulting is the Reader/Distiller's way
of telling you it cannot find the font at all. And that
is definitely going to happen here because, although the fonts
may be the same to us humans, unless they have the same
machine name, Distiller will think they're different. (You can
look in the PS file to see what fonts it is looking for.
They're listed near the beginning under Needed Resources.)

Presumably, then, you've been getting Distiller error messages
all these years and not taking any notice of them...? Or is
the option set to "Ignore"?

The best solution is to print and distill on the same platform.
You say that it takes time: are you doing this manually, or are
the machines that horribly slow?

The second option is to change the PS files before transferring
them to the PC so that the font names match. Easily done
with AppleScript. But, if you're going to do that, then you might
as well use option 1 if processor speed is an issue...

If you prefer to take this offlist, no problem! I'd really like
to help you sort this out.
