I remember a stand-alone personal challenge calculator “back in the day”
Is anything like that around today stand-alone or part of a order tool?

Yeah I have a copy. This from the documentation:
The Middle Earth Challenger
This utility program simulates combat as described on pages 56 & 57 of Game Systems Inc. rule book for “Middle Earth Play-By-Mail”.
Requirements:
IBM Compatible 286 && Windows 3.1
If you do not have bwcc.dll, you will need to download a copy. The best place to put it is C:\Windows\system, or in the same directory as the program. See your Windows manual for creating an icon for the Middle Earth Challenger.
The registered version allows the health and number of simulations to be modified. Registering also provides free updates to any modifications made for the new version( not including shipping and handling, or any email costs); and discounts for new versions.
The Middle Earth Challenger may be purchased for $10.00 if emailed, or $10.00 +$3.95 for the disk, shipping, and handling. Currently, I can email files to America Online, the internet, and CompuServe. All others will receive their copy by snail mail. Please mail checks to the address below.

Has anyone made an updated version, or even a different challenge calculator, that might be available?
I’d be interested in using something like that. I’ve used revenue calculators, not like it can’t be figured out without it, but would be nice to have something else to tinker around with.
