There seems to be a lot of focus on the Istari rating, but from Clint's
wording, that seems a small part. Again, if you lose, you hurt every
aspect of your rating. That's hardly conducive to individual play.

But the way to get a real good score is to have lots of wins. To be a "great" player, you have to play a lot of games and win all the time. People will be looking to maximize the number of games completed and minimize the chance of losing, even before game starts. No way is a top player going to join a randomly formed game. He'll protect his score by only joining if he knows a lot of skilled playes will be on his side. Forget about joining a newbie game.

I prefer the way it is now where nation selection is based on what you'll fand to be an enjoyable game. I just don't see the gain from complicating this with some scoring system.
