Poetry

I got bored once, so I made these up. John Cain then touched up a few (and
the rhun was 100% John Cain). Since they are a few years old I think most
have been seen already. I had another riddle, but I've misplaced that (that
answer was DS).

thanks
m

p.s Can you tell I was DS ?

NOLDO:

An elf he is, long lived and a bore
A Great War coward, no weapon he wore
Lost his family thus, fleeing his shame
Now he's back, healing's his game

  Who is he?

RANGERS:

A loser by nature, a kingdom he's mislaid
At Bree's Prancing Pony he commonly stayed
A shame to his parents, thinks both are dead
But they're in Rivendell, warming an elven bed

  Who is he?

RIDERS:

A rider of horses, mouting mares he does try
Loved by his people, whom he sends out to die
Settled in Rohan where he breeds very fast horses
That's 'cause he serves the slow as main courses

  Who is he?

SINDA:

An elf woman is she, cheap and wanton to boot
A harlot of Lorien, oft seen in birthday suit
A leader of the Rebellion in the good old first age
Kill her soon Celeborn, or you'll suffer her rage

   Who is she?

SOUTH GONDOR:

A free man is he, living on the seashore
A product of inbreeding, of that be sure
Some evils he can attack, perhaps with surprise
Watch for his boats, or he'll bring your demise

   Who is he?

DWARVES

Short, fat and greedy are the norm in my race
We attack friend and foe, both 'just in case'
In the history books all our deeds end in woe
So we're found as far from Mordor as we can go

   Who are we?

WOODIES

As a race we are known as collectors of tolls
Which we accept from all, even mighty trolls
We're also known for our double rank scouting
But in real battle, we always end up routing

   Who are we?

NORTHMEN:

Cowards are we, in Rhovanion we have fame
Conflict with Easterlings, that's our game
Our armies are weak, but our emissaries cunning
In battle we take for our motto the River Running

  Who are we?

SILVANS

···

A hidden place, we live underground
No gold or gems, only tree roots found
A forest prison, where ringbearers stay
From giant spiders, we can run all day

"There was a great game,
set up by welsh-men, in cardiff,
called Middle Earth..."

(i'm no good at poetry and i'm not mocking the welsh as i was
born in wales!
Newtown, Powys!)
