Power Game - PrOcess WhEn Ready Game

Er, thanks, but actually I didn't. My suggestion for a "Process on
Demand" game was very different. I'd suggested a game which
processed when all the order sets were in, so that the game could
proceed more quickly if everyone were ready, but would otherwise
proceed at the usual 2 weekly deadline. I'm not moved by the idea of
one with financial penalties. To me it looks like yet another system
which will DIScourage communication - I can't imagine the stress for
those who want to have intelligent dialogue with their allies, and
have to pay fines for each day they wait for replies. Not one for me thanks.

Hy there

In the past you mentioned you might be interested in this format of game.
Turns will be run at the latest once per week and we're hoping at least
twice.

What are the odds the game would ever run more often than 2 weeks in your scenario? Besides the odd grudge amongst 2 dedicated teams. Your arguments regarding the financial incentive are valid. I'd hazard that amongst the "I don't like meddling teammates telling me what to do" and the "I've given up trying to get these guys to do anything" crowds, there's likely a reasonable market for faster turns coming in games like this.

If you have 2 teams and you're willing to go to a PWR set up, ask Clint if they'll do it. No point in whining over some strategic marketting.

Reasonable I'd have thought, even if only by a few days. That was
the reason behind the proposal. I often find that, especially in the
early turns, the whole team have discussed (even at length) and sent
orders in some time before the two week deadline. We're usually
sitting around just waiting for the last few days. How silly if this
were the situation with the other team as well.
