I get more upset with pre-game deals made between neutrals and one side.
T1 or T2 declarations (to my side of the other) always disappoints me.
I agree. But this one is even harder to prove. Some time ago I toyed
with the idea of writing an article for 'Bree' along the lines of "Is
there any such thing as a true neutral". Essentially I'd say yes there
is, but only if that player is entirely new to the game. One of the best
games of ME I ever had (in terms of enjoyment, I played apallingly with
hindsight) was my first ever game, where I played Rhudaur. No-one had
ever played the game before, so we were all in the dark and all five
neutrals proved extremely independant. This led to a lot of cloak and
dagger stuff with behind the scenes bribes and many, many phone calls.
Excellent stuff.
Colin.
