Pubmeet

Hi,

Thanks to everyone who made the pubmeet despite some pretty grotty driving
conditions and dodgy train service!

We had around 15 Legends, 10 Middle Earth, 6 Serim Ral and 8 from Time Wyrm
and Hunky Munkey PBM firms.

The award for keenest player goes to Jimmy for coming over the channel

There was much crowing between the S22 players, as their game enters its
fourth year and the five mighty empires continue to bash together, and the
new S24 game also brought people together to make alliances. Jimmy got a
small round of applause accepting his winner's plaque for C21 (perhaps
that's why he came so far)

Middle Earth Games 16 and 19 were much discussed, as players from both sides
were there and able to smirk and sneer about various assassinations over the
last few turns. We also brought some of the new large maps we're trying to
produce, and they seemed quite popular.

I'm afraid I didn't talk with the Rallers or the guys from Colin and Tom's
games (Kings of Karadon mostly, I think)
so I can't really share much there.

I got bought several drinks and had a tasty baguette, so all in all, quite a
success.

Next meet - The PBM con may not be on this year. We will be at Salute, a
huge Wargaming con in London on 21st April at Olympia 2 on Hammersmith Road.
We MIGHT make that into a 'pubmeet' type affair, though there is an entrance
fee of 6, so we'll think about that. www.salute.co.uk

Cheers

Sam
