question about palantir

question about palantir (not sure if its been asked
before, but I'll ask anyway)

i've running windows 98, and can't get palantir to
work.

After downloading the zip file, I click on the
palantir.exe file and get the message

'exception ElntfCastError in module PALANTIR.EXE at
0009b74b. interface not support'

i'm running palantir at work, but i'm about to go on a
little christmas break (I go back in Feb), and would
like to get palantir to work at home.

I'm thinking 'interface not supported' is a hint to
the problem, but I'm not sure what to do about it.

Try updating your version of MDAC from the microsoft site

Not the problem. I'm running win98 and it works fine.
