Ok, I am still confused and am not comprehending the responses.
Let's simplify the question a little.
The following armies are at a PC that supplies 1000 food.Army 1 - 100 HC w/ 210 food
Army 2 - 1,700 HI w/ 1190 food
Army 3 - 100 HI w/ 62 foodHow will this PC's food be split among the 3 armies?
Does the food in the army affect this split at all?
As the rule book indicates, the armies are fed proportionate to their size (number of troops). The amount of food in thier wagontrain does not affect how much FO is automatically supplied to them from the pop.
Automatically supplied =
(Troops in army / Total number of troops present) * Max Pop can supply
1: 100/1900 = .0526 * 1000 = 52.6 = 53 FO supplied by pop.
2: 1700/1900 = .8947 * 1000 = 894.7 = 895 FO supplied by pop.
3: 100/1900 = .0526 * 1000 = 52.6 = 53 FO supplied by pop.
I'm not sure how the rounding will work.
Army 1, with 100HC, needs 200 FO. With ~50 being supplied by the pop, that army will eat ~150 FO from its supplies.
Army 2, needs 1700 FO, With ~900 coming from the pop, it will eat ~800 from its supplies.
Army 3, needs 100 FO. ~50 is supplied by the pop, so the troops will go to the supplies for another 50.
At the end of the consumption phase (movement time), the armies should have:
Army 1 - 100 HC w/ ~57 food
Army 2 - 1,700 HI w/ ~385 food
Army 3 - 100 HI w/ ~15 food
